Thanks Joseph. I read a trip of someone recumbent from Beijing to France. It seems that he can amazingly go very long distance daily. I bet, it is good for the back for sure! Do you cycle?

Hei Pin, G8 trip.. ! If you’re worried about your back, why don’t you try recumbent cycle? Just bought one. It’s really comfy for longer distance.

I remembered I went to Tanjung Emas with TeckHang (without him, I might have got even lower GPA). I went there with him to meet up with a web design customer in Muar when I was Year 2 studying in KUiTTHO (I dragged him together and skipped a few class for this).

At first, I couldn’t find the Ice Kacang stall. I thought it was no longer there until I spotted it at the new location, like a new hawker centre, I smiled to myself :)

Hahaha! It literally means “mixed-mixed” which is what it actually is. A mixture of different fruits, beans, purple yam, caramel flan, sugar, milk and shaved ice, sometimes topped with a scoop or 2 of ice cream. Really yummy!

‘halo-halo’, i really love the name! :D
It’s very very friendly as it sounded like a welcoming dessert. Once the traveller touched down at the air port in Manila, the first thing they should be doing is going for a ‘Halo-Halo’.

I have tried chendol in Melaka. I think ice kacang is your version of our “halo-halo”.

Chendol has starch noodles with green food coloring (usually sourced from the pandan leaf), and palm sugar, which you can’t find in Ice Kacang :)
