Saving the Kopi 2-Happy ending?
June 20th, 2008

for kopi lover...

(Continue from ‘Saving the Kopi’)
I had always wanted to keep a dog myself since I was still a little kid. It just that my parents discourage me to keep one. “It’s very troublesome one, you have to help it to bath, clean its excrement, catch its fleas, and do this, do that, etc”, that’s what my parents alway told me. There is no place for me to keep a dog. Besides, my mum also told me that granny has asthma, it’s better not to keep those furry animals at home. There gone my dream of keep a dog myself… …

Untill the appearance of Kopi, which lightened up my hope again. As I mention before, my family and me were really having a fun time with Kopi. I thought to myself that my family was slowly accept and going to let me keep Kopi, ‘Yeah!!’, this voice came within my heart,I was really happy.

But every night, we still have to let Kopi stay outside of our shop. It acted like a guard every night, help us to take care of our shop and then just sleep in front of our shop. But what weird is, I couldn’t find Kopi during the day, it just appear at night. Maybe just like its name, it likes dark, that explained why it only appeared at night.:)

Fifth, sixth day passed… …Kopi never show up again……During these few days, I keep a close look whenever I get the chance to go out around the area. But Kopi just like disappear in this world, I couldn’t find it anymore. I haven’t get the chance to take picture with it, haven’t buy some dog’s toy for it, there’s just too many haven’ts… …

My whole week was grey in colour… … my life would be grey in colour forever but of course not, because time is the best medicine. Besides, Kopi might be kept by some kind people, provide it a place to sleep and food to eat. That’s what I told myself. Until now, I still remember Kopi, it should become a big, strong dog now, waving its short tail.

Hopefully it has being kept by some kind people and shower it with love.

Kopi, i miss you…

Saving the Kopi
June 19th, 2008

Kopi

Going to sleep so enter the bedtime story section? Okay, here I am, sharing my ‘Kopi’ saving story with you guys.

It should be dated back to year 1999 or 2000 if I am not mistaken. I was still 12 or 13 years old back then. That day I was going downstair (I used to live upstair of the shop) to pick up something, when suddenly I saw a stray little dog (or should I call puppy, it’s actually between puppy and dog) paced up and down in front of the shop’s gate. It was quite thin and dirty. The shop’s gate was closed but there was some holes on it. After picking up the things, I went to upstairs.

As I just reached upstairs, I forgot to pick up another thing. Here I go again, miss blur blur… So as I reach downstairs, I quickly rubbed my eyes. I thought that I was seeing things… … WHAT? That little dog was actually inside our shop. Okay, fine, I thought to myself. Just calm down and call for my parents. But, wait….that dog was injured with its tail looked like being cut into half of the size. Really bloody and looks very pain. But just when I was about to shout for help, (you could imagine how nervous I was, but never did I realized that the little dog was actually more terrified than me) it quickly crawl and get out of the gate’s hole. That dog was really a pity little animal, I thought. I wanted to help it but it just ran away. Forget it… …

The next day around the same time in the evening, I went to downstairs again, that dog came in our shop AGAIN!!! Quickly, I caught up with it and touch its head, trying to play with it. Then the idea of helping this little dog came out again. So I said “doggie, be good, stay here, I call mum for help first”. But after I came back with my mum’s help, it ran away again.

Fine, since that little dog will come to our shop around the same time everyday, I shall wait for it tomorrow. True enough, that smart little pity dog came in again, this time I lead it to the back of our shop again. My mum also pitied that little dog, so she plan to pour ‘Dettol’ on its tail. The thought that when I accidentally injured myself and pour it with ‘Dettol’ frightened me. It is really super duper pain as I experienced it. So I told mum that the dog would going to be crazy because of the painness. Out of my expectation, it didn’t felt anything when my mum pour ‘Dettol’ on it. But then it ran away not long after this.

The little dog’s fur is covered with spotted brown, or I should say it’s mostly brown, so I gave it a name ‘Kopi’. Kopi came to our shop as usual in the evening everyday, coming inside our shop and play around with my family and me. It seemed excited and happy whenever it came that it kept waving its injured tails. Looking at its tail really make me sad. I really had a happy moment with Kopi. Those happy moments lasted for around two weeks until one day Kopi didn’t appeared in our shop again. I thought maybe it just ran too faraway to came back here. The second, third, forth day passed……

Curious about if Kopi appear in the shop the following days? Find out tomorrow… …:)
