Point to Ponder for A4trip’s Editors
January 24th, 2008

Preparation:

  1. Acquire rich knowledge in the travel destination you are editing by experience and reading.
  2. Analyze the Map of travel destination and categorize it to several areas. These areas will be used for Hotels, Restaurants, Bars, Shopping Centers and Places of attraction both in the travel guide and map.
  3. Analyze travel destination walking or cycling tour/route.
  4. Communicate with your Mapper on these areas and tour/route so that he/she can start drawing the destination map with area categorization.
  5. Collect the listings of public transportation, accommodation, sightseeing, shopping center, restaurant, local cuisine and night club of the travel destination.

Blog posting:

  1. Post all the listings of public transportation, accommodation, sightseeing, shopping center, restaurant, local cuisine and night club of the travel destination.
  2. Post the scam alerts and culture shock of the travel destination
  3. Inform Marketer on the completeness of posting of number 1 and 2 so that he/she can start driving comments or testimonials to your posts.
  4. Continue to write and post on other standard blog structure defined by A4trip.
  5. Reply and interact with all the comments posted by blog visitors by either updating the existing post or leaving a comment.

Guidebook transformation:

  1. Analyze all the listings of accommodation, sightseeing, shopping center, restaurant, night club and categorized them by Area, Rating and Price Range.
  2. Communicate with Mapper so that he/she can proceed with the dotting of all the accommodation, sightseeing, shopping center, restaurant, night club
  3. Compile all your posts in the blog and edit them according to the standard guidebook structure defined by A4trip.
  4. Inform the DTP once the compilation of travel guidebook is completed.
